Sean's blog #2
Well I saved a previous blog that I wrote but I'm not sure how I retreive it to publish it? I don't know so anyway, to make a long blog short, todays' class made me really sad. I come from a very strong family (or so I thought), but I have let myself fall astray (at least I think that it is my fault?). I haven't talked to any family members about anything substantial for a long time, and there is so much to discuss. Where do I start?

Hello Sean,
I think i have some of the same problem as you do. I always thought that my family growing up was strong too until i got to college and found out that it was actually dysfunctional. i also don't talk to my mother much because she acts crazy most the time. i feel bad but believe me she can wreck my whole day just by one little comment. Maybe we can both try to communicate with our family. I guess it starts with a phonecall!
Well I don't really know how to give suggestion since I have a lots of question to your question. But hopefully some of my example and suggestion can somehow help you figure what to do. I do believe that I have a strong family too. We have a lots of positive communication in our family and humor play a major part. We do spend a lots of time together and talk about endless thing that happen to us during the week on weekend. Sometime we really forgot about those talk because of various difficulties that happen in our everyday life. But I usually just tell my family about my problem and started asking them why aren't talking like usual again. So maybe you can try to figure why you think it's your fault. You said you haven't had any substantial talk with your family but why? Is it because they or you were busy? You also said that there is so much to discuss then what is it that you want to discuss about with your family and when or where? I'm sorry if I'm on the wrong track but that's how I interpret your question so hopefully it help.
Thanks for you comments! Sean
